DTG (Direct to Garment) works like an inkjet printer for clothing. Water-based inks are sprayed directly into the fibres of the garment, so the print feels soft and breathable rather than sitting on top of the fabric.
DTG handles complex, multi-colour and photographic artwork with ease, and there are no screens or setup fees, which makes it ideal for small runs, samples and personalised pieces.
How we produce your DTG order
Garments are pre-treated, printed on our commercial DTG machines and heat cured so the ink bonds permanently with the cotton. Every print is inspected before dispatch or collection.
When to choose DTG
DTG is at its best on 100% cotton or high-cotton blends. For polyester sportswear we usually recommend DTF or sublimation instead, and for large runs of simple designs, screen printing.

DTG Printing Questions
DTG works best on 100% cotton or blends with a high cotton content. The more cotton, the brighter and more durable the print.
Yes. We print a white underbase first so colours stay vibrant on dark garments.
DTG is ideal up to around 50 pieces or for designs with many colours. For larger runs of simple designs we will recommend screen printing to save you money.
